THE ST. KATHRYN’S HOSPITAL

A Casual Prophecy! A Prediction of what will happen in the Future! That’s how it happened.

It was the year 1999, during the camp, Love and the Mega Church, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills stood  before his members and said that one benefit of having a Mega Church is that more special  Ministries, such as Hospitals, are released. He spoke passionately about a day in the future when the  Lighthouse Chapel International would have its own Hospital where the women can deliver their  babies, a place where Prayers will be lifted up to the Lord that Healeth as the Operating Theatre gets  set up for a Surgery.  A place where your Spirit, Soul and Body will be rejuvenated.

Little did he know that in June 2006, this would come to pass. The Lighthouse Mission Hospital, now  the St. Kathryn’s Hospital in honor of the Great Healing Evangelist Kathryn Kulman, has not only come  into existence, but currently rubs shoulders with top private Medical Facilities in Accra and Ghana as a  whole.

THE ST. KATHRYN’S HOSPITAL

The Hospital started out as part of a larger Humanitarian Effort. This included a Prison Ministry that  reached out to Prisoners all over the city month after month with; Hot Meals, the Word of God and  anything and everything that made life behind bars as humane as possible. It also started an Outreach  to support Beggars (most of whom were blind or lame) as well as a wing to assist Schools for the  Visually and Hearing impaired, among others.

The name was then changed to the Help the Helpless Charity as an attempt to maintain the wider  Humanitarian Vision, and now it is the famous St. Kathryn’s Hospital that has brought Healing to many  people with various diseases.

St. Kathryn’s Hospital started with a few beds and three Doctors. By the Grace of God, the Hospital has  grown in leaps and bounds. It is a Fully-Equipped Hospital with 26 Beds, and Facilities for Outpatient  and In-patient Services. These Facilities include Wards for Admission, an Operating Theatre, a Laboratory, Ultrasound and X-ray Services, a fully stocked Pharmacy and an Executive Morgue, all in a pristine, serene setting.

Many Specialists practice at St. Kathryn’s, including Obstetricians, Gynaecology and Fertility Specialists, Otolaryngologists, Urologists, Surgeons, Paediatric Specialists, Dentists, Opticians, Dieticians and  Consultant Radiologists.

It does not stop there. There are plans underway to open a brand new Hope Facility. This will include a Prosthetics Centre and a Modern Assisted Reproduction Centre.

ST. MARY’S PROSTHETIC CENTRE CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION

As if all this is not enough, members of the United Denominations who come along with Proof of  Membership, such as tithe cards, get a discount for Medical Services. Also, sections of the Church  Community get discounts for Annual Medical Checkup. What a Church! What a Blessing!

WELCOMING RECEPTION AT THE ST. KATHRYN’S HOSPITAL

I know you are blessed with Good Health, but if for some reason you must visit a Hospital, you would  definitely want to come to this anointed Home of Healing!

To God be the glory for the wonderful thing he has done. I know and believe that this is the beginning of many that God will do to His glory. Well done servant of God for your obedience to respond to His call. I pray that God will give me the boldness to respond to his call too, in Jesus’s Name.

God bless you so much Daddy. What begun as a casual word of prophecy is now a mighty blessing and a beacon of hope. Your healing ministry is being propagated through your powerful and dedicated children working at St Kathryn’s.
Personally, I recall receiving another casual word (of healing) from our indefatigable hospital director. And following my investigations no further procedures were required!
What a blessing!
What an Healing Evangelist we have in you Daddy! What a Healing Jesus we serve!
