Fruitfulness! This was the theme for the first-ever camp meeting of the American Missionary Church Denomination with Apostle Joel Obuobisa. The theme was culled from a book of the same title written by Bishop Dag Heward-Mills. The camp was a blast!

On the first night, after a charged atmosphere of prayer, Apostle Joel introduced the theme of Fruitfulness from John 15:16 which says: 
“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, THAT YE SHOULD
GO AND BRING FORTH FRUIT, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye
shall ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.” (KJV)
He clearly explained, with vivid analogies and illustrations, that it was God’s main purpose for every church member within the American Missionary Church Denomination to be fruitful.

More than 350 attendees from Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Oregon, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, California, Washington, and Utah as well as the Canadian Provinces of British, Columbia and Alberta, attended this vibrant and Holy Spirit-filled camp meeting alongside a SAVED camp for six-to-eleven-year-olds titled, ‘Ready @ 20’ was held at the Marriott Hotel in Woodland Hills, a suburb of Los Angeles, California.

Subsequent days were nothing short of amazing. Apostle Joel delved deeper into his teaching as he used the examples of Adam, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph and Ishmael to expound on the fact that God has a purpose for each and everyone of the attendees and the AMC churches in America. He also used some of these examples to explain how our fruitfulness is connected to God’s covenant with our Father and Prophet Bishop Dag. 

Apostle Joel set a goal for all to pray for 24 hours before the camp was over. To the Glory of God, attendees prayed for a combined 23 hours across the four days of the camp. This included a 4-hour FLOW prayer session with Bishop Dag Heward-Mills that was live-broadcast into the camp meeting auditorium.

He taught us how speaking in tongues ushers us into realms and dimensions that our natural minds cannot understand. There was an outpouring of the Holy Spirit after this teaching with several camp attendees receiving the Holy Ghost baptism evidenced by speaking in tongues for the first time! The Holy Spirit-filled atmosphere of prayer and spiritual manifestations was simply fantastic! Many were delivered as the atmosphere was charged with prayers for fruitfulness. Apostle Joel prayed, laid hands, and anointed every adult and child at the camp. He also prophesied to the AMC denominations that they will have centurion churches, that the churches will count their numbers in the hundreds in the name of Jesus. 

The concurrent camp for the SAVED Church taught the young people the importance of serving God even though they are young. The lessons were taught through interactive sermons, music, and dance. It was exciting to see young children who already love Jesus and want to live for Him.

It was a glorious time at this maiden camp of the American Missionary Church! We look forward to the next camp! The American Missionary Church denomination will never be the same again thanks to this impartation and commission for fruitfulness!

The first edition of the Bantama Council inter-branches Bible Quiz Contest dubbed, POLAG, came to its conclusion on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. POLAG, stands for Provoking One Another Unto Love and Good Works based on Hebrews 10:24. The purpose of this contest, put together by Rev. William Agbo, is to stir up a deeper teaching and study of the Bible to children in the SAVED churches in the Bantama Council in order to achieve in every child what the Apostle Paul said of his son in 2 Timothy 3:15: “And that from a child thou hast known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”

This maiden edition saw eight churches participating in four group contests in May: Bantama, Boadi, Anwomaso, Suame, Mfensi, Adiembra, Mamponteng and Fankyenebra. Bantama, Boadi and Suame made it to the semi-finals which were held in June, but Anwomaso who had the highest losing score in the group stage were brought back to contest Fankyenebra in a third semi-final contest. In the end, Bantama, Boadi and Anwomaso qualified to contest in the finals.

The tension leading up to the final contest was very high as each team and their teachers prepared diligently for the whole month of July for the title. The night began with song ministrations from children from the Saved Church of the True Vine Cathedral, and from the True Vine Olives.

Each branch was represented by three contestants, and the quiz master was Rev. Emmanuel Korley, who came all the way from Accra. Archbishop Patrick himself and pastors of the Bantama Council were present at this high stake final contest.

The quiz covered the areas of General Bible Knowledge, Church History and Facts about the United Denominations, Must Know Scriptures from 1Timothy, scriptures on foundational Christian doctrines such as repentance, faith, baptism, laying on of hands, resurrection and judgement. There were riddles also in other rounds.

All in all, Boadi came out as Winners of POLAG 2023. It was an exciting event and we learnt many things from the Bible that we did not know before. We look forward to next year’s edition which should hopefully be an inter-council contest.

Day 8 of our 21 DAYS OF GLORY with the Prophet, our Father, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills was uniquely different from the previous Days! It was a Miracle Service!!! Was it amazing?? It was AMAAAZINGGG!!!! If you don’t believe me, ask the dancing stars! Their energy was off the charts! We all expected Day 8 to be magnificent but we did not expect this much energy! Somebody’s gotta be crazy! Sunday was a blast and we in the Qodesh would not have spent it any other way.

“The expectation of the righteous shall not be cut off…” (Proverbs 10:28) We expected miracles and God’s Word did not return unto Him void. By the Grace of God, and through our Prophet, we saw practically what the Spirit of the Lord does. The Spirit sets captives free!

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” Luke 4:18

Are you poor or brokenhearted? Are you a captive? We learnt from our Daddy that all Christians are in some sort of captivity that prevents us from serving the Lord. These captivities are supernatural and demonic. Captivities like smoking, alcoholism and even stubbornness are more supernatural than spiritual. The answer to this captivity is the anointing!

There were glorious manifestations of the Holy Spirit in every part of the service; from the preaching of the Word, to the ministrations to God’s people, Sunday was definitely a highlight in Qodesh’s history. What really could be better than the presence of a father in a family.
Fathers make all the difference.
Without fathers, many will be lost, never to be found.
Fathers hold our hands through the journey of life,
Guiding us as the compass would take a stranger even through a raging storm,
Teaching us the meaning of life and its divine essence.

Fathers hold the keys that unlock the doors to endless opportunities,
Doors that open and yet leads another to open
In ways that change the life and wellbeing of any child.

Fathers, they make the bold and hard choices,
Often, very unpopular,
And though these choices may not be so accepted and celebrated initially,
Time proves and tests their value as worthy and impactful.

A father’s presence is as the anchor that
Is firmly planted at the base of the ship along the shore,
providing the family with the stability it needs.

A father is that eagle on whose wings
You can rise and soar to greatness
And even through the harsh weather these very wings
Make a safe haven for comfort

We could go on and on about fathers
But let us remind ourselves of that one father sent from God
That has embodied all these qualities and more

A celebrated father by all standards,
A father to the known and unknown,
whose voice resonates through many homes
From sunrise to sunset reminding us of the infallible Word of God.
He has brought healing to uncountable; spiritually and physically
And has shown us the path of righteousness that leads to heavenly places.
His love for souls to be won at all cost never wavers-
That for us is the true spirit of a shepherd.
He is an all-encompassing gift to us.
A true father and an inspiration.
We dare call Him a wonder of our generation

The buzz, the excitement, the joy as thousands gathered at the Healing Jesus Cathedral for the 60th birthday celebration of our Prophet, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills!!!

As part of our celebration led by our Convener Bishop Ato Dickson, various constituencies embarked on massive outreaches to win souls in honor of the Prophet who has dedicated his life to winning the lost at all cost.

The inspiration service was packed to capacity as members trooped in dancing, rejoicing and praising God for the life of our Prophet.

There were cakes representing the different arms of the Ministry of the Prophet.

One of the highlights of the inspiration service was watching a documentary of the life of the church from the Canteen all the way to the Qodesh. The story never grows old, as members were glued to the screen and inspired by the Grace of God upon the Prophet.

Several Pastors were appointed and ordained into the service of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the Healing Jesus Cathedral and across the major Cathedrals and branches within the Denomination in honor of our Bishop on this special day.

We continued the celebration with popping of champagne and cutting of cake. What an eventful day!

Our Alloway branch led by our Lay President, Rev. Senyo Makumator, marked the day with a special power packed service. One more pastor was added to the vineyard and many souls were saved on the day.

Pictures depicting scenes of the Birthday Celebration came from the various Councils under the Denomination. From Ho (Bishop Wisdom Tsyi) to Hohoe (Bishop Joshua) to Kpando (Bishop Bekui) and all the way to Central Africa Republic (Ps Sosthene). Sons and daughters gathered on this momentous day to celebrate our Leader, Father, Pastor, Evangelist and Prophet.

The Qodesh Family Church Denomination had the privilege of holding its first ever He Gave Gifts Unto Men Conference (HEGGUM) with Pastor David Sumrall. We have always had to enjoy these awesome times of anointing and refreshing by tuning in to First Love Center. As amazing as those times were, there is nothing as captivating as a live experience.

Friday 2nd June was SENSATIONAL. Even though the heavy downpour almost slowed down the progress of the entire conference, it came on as expected, the Holy spirit was present and to those who missed, phew…..words cannot describe your irreparable loss.

On the first night, the Man of God in the person of Ps. David Sumrall an American missionary to the Philippines, opened the Holy scriptures and taught us “HOW WE LIVE BY FAITH.” The foundation scripture was taken from 1 Timothy 6:17 NIV which says, “Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.”

He used this scripture to show us the nature of God as “A PROVIDER”, and how God can make us prosper despite the economic crisis in the world today. “Do not put your hopes in the uncertainty of your riches but put your trust in God because God doesn’t provide based on the economic situation but He provides according to His riches in glory. Philippians 4:19.

On the second and final day, Sunday 4th June, he continued with part 2 of the first night and it was just mind-blowing.  One of the things he said that caught my attention was in Psalm 78:17-20. He said, “One of the principles of prosperity is to be careful of what people tell you that you need. Be careful not to teach people to crave things other than what God has given them.” 

It was a blessing to have this great Man of God visit the Holy Hill. Our lives have been transformed for the better.

God did give gifts unto men… Pastor David Sumrall is one of those gifts!!
