It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Rev. Dr. Yonggi Cho. He passed on September 14, 7:13 am. He was 85 years old.

Dr. Cho’s funeral will be held on September 18, 2021, 8am Korean Standard Time, and led by Rev. Billy Kim of the Far East Broadcasting Company. His body will be buried in the Osanri Jasil Choi Fasting Prayer Mountain.

Dr. Cho had suffered a brain hemorrhage on July 16, 2020 and had been hospitalized ever since.

His family members include the late Dr. Sunghae Kim and their children Hee-Jun, Min-Je (President of Kookmin Ilbo Daily Newspaper), and Seung-Jae (Board Member of Hansei University).

Yopougon Mission, in La Côte d’Ivoire, under the Anagkazo Assemblies Denomination of the UD-OLGC, commemorated the much anticipated Annual International Sunday on Sunday, 5th September, 2021.

The service exhibited primarily the diverse cultures of La Côte d’Ivoire as well as other countries where the Global Church Family of the United Denominations are found. It was a beautiful and colorful day to behold. Souls were won into the Kingdom.

There were exhibitions of different international dishes to give members an opportunity to sample, dine and enjoy themselves together as the one big family that they are!

Bishop Oko Bortei-Doku, Head Pastor of the Yopougon Church, together with his wife Lady Pastor (Dr.) Ama Bortei-Doku and their children celebrated this day with the beautiful church members at Yopougon, Abidjan.

Celebrations were also held at M’badon, a branch under the same Council, pastored by Rev. Samuel Asumadu.

These pictures share the story of how the day was celebrated. It was all joy and fun. Indeed, we belong to an International Church!!!!

International Sunday, 5th September 2021 at Christ Cathedral, London was a day full of fun and rejoicing, as members came together to celebrate different cultures as well as learn about the different regions that the wonderful Mustard Seed Chapel International Denomination is represented in. Christ Cathedral as a branch is blessed to have members from Bolivia, Spain, Honduras, Uganda, Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone and so many more!

The highlight of the International Sunday, more importantly, was seeing many souls also from different backgrounds racing to the altar to give their lives to Christ, showing that salvation truly is available for all. God richly bless our Bishop Dag Heward-Mills for having a heart for the nations and for planting churches all over the world. “We truly are an International Church”.

Branches in India also celebrated International Sunday in a fantastic way. Even though many places are under lockdown and could not meet in person, a video was put together featuring the many nationalities represented within the various branches all over India. The service was a powerful.

Members organized food at their residences and had fellowship after service. The day was truly enjoyable and appreciated as it demonstrated a little glimpse of Heaven! Many nations, many tongues all gathered together to worship the Lord!!

When expectations are more than met, one cannot help but exude joy and be endlessly thankful to God. LCI NSAWAM EXODUS service was one such experience. The service was simply AMAZING!!! One could only attribute it to the doing of the Lord! 

On Sunday, 5th September 2021, LCI Nsawam embarked on their EXODUS – they moved from Old Makado Cinema to their Promised Land, a new Cathedral at Bohyɛ Asaase so, near Ahodwo, Nsawam. 

Although Nsawam has been experiencing regular downpours, God blessed the day with good sunny weather. A great testimony to begin with. The auditorium was almost full to capacity even before the commencement of the service. This could only communicate the high anticipation towards the service. At the start of the exhilarating, spirit-filled praise and worship, the place was completely full. The ministrations from our various Basontas: the Mass Choir, Dancing Stars, Films stars and The Breeze were exceptional.  Attendance that day was more than three times the usual attendance in the old auditorium.

The beautiful service was graced by Lady Pastor Rosemary Ampofo, the lovely wife of Bishop Karpos Ampofo – Bishop of the Nsawam Council, Reverend George Antwi of The Healing Jesus Crusade Team, some Reverends and Pastors of the Nsawam Councils, visiting Graduates of Anagkazo Bible School and well wishers.  The greatest and most pleasant surprise of all, was the presence of the Archbishop of the United Denominations – Kwasi Ampofo. He preached a powerful sermon from the book Those Who Honor You authored by Bishop Dag Heward-Mills. He emphasized on Honoring God our Father. It was a priceless moment indeed.

The Church expressed its profound gratitude to Almighty God for aiding the building of His Church thus far, and to the Prophet, Dag Heward-Mills, who came up with the idea of building a gigantic cathedral at Nsawam and seeing to it becoming a reality. They expressed their thanks also to Bishop Steve Asare, Convener of The Lighthouse Chapel International for facilitating and guiding the project to its current stage.

With gladsome hearts and minds, the LCI Nsawam church, in a unified voice say “today with broad smiles we have entered our “Bohyɛ Asaase so”, our Promise Land where we will confidently stand in battle and fight for the possession of our glorious inheritance.
