A WALK TO REMEMBER

God is love! So it comes as little surprise, that the Campus of one of the largest Bible Schools in the world, The Anagkazo Bible and Ministry Training Centre, a prime location for Bible School Students and people hungry and thirsty for God is also a special haven for lovebirds.

Walk through the campus any day and be sure to meet a young couple on a sight-seeing visit to the campus, strolling leisurely down the ‘Attempt Great Things Highway’. You’ll hear the  birds chirping animatedly in the lush greenery on either side of the pair, mirroring the hidden excitement of the gentleman as they near the ‘Propose To Me’ Bridge.

And she, deep in conversation with her good friend about nothing in particular, starts to secretly wonder if today is the day! The day her status changes! The day she’s upgraded from “Friend” to “Beloved” (fiancée).

A few steps ahead, the highway becomes a bridge next to a pond upon which the Akuapem Mountains’ very own ‘Jet D’eau’(water jet) sits, captivating the young couple. All conversation melts into “ooohs” and “wows” as a rainbow dances across the two powerful streams of clear water shooting several meters high.

On the barricade that separates them from the water, colorful signs read the lyrics of “The Proposal,” a love song written by Bishop Dag Heward-Mills.

A good view of the ‘Jet D’eau’ finds the couple standing right in front of the sign that reads “Propose to Me Bridge,” and after confidently clearing his throat, our brother does just that with a perfectly timed speech. The question is popped, a hug is shared and in the excitement of the hour, they forget the purpose for which they initially started down the hill.

With love in the air in one corner of the campus, prayers being lifted up to God in another, as well as classes and camps being held all at once, we can see that this spiritual haven caters to both life and godliness, reflecting the spiritual mind and fatherly heart behind its construction.

God bless Bishop Dag Heward-Mills!
