Church leaders from across Europe gathered in Miskolc, for the Catch the Anointing (CTA) Conference to teach that church growth on the continent is not only possible, but within reach for those willing to pursue it with vision, discipline, and spiritual strength.

The conference, themed “Church Growth — It Is Possible,” brought together pastors, missionaries, and ministry workers for three days of teaching that challenged long‑held assumptions about ministry in Europe. Bishop Richard Aryee opened by confronting the belief that European cities are too secular or resistant for large, thriving churches. Instead, the people were urged to adopt a mindset of faith, reinforced by practical actions such as prayer, fasting, outreach, and door‑to‑door evangelism.

Throughout the sessions, leaders were reminded that building a church requires spiritual battle. Bishop Richard taught that the people need to stop focusing on negative cultural trends and instead pay attention to “what God is doing.” He used biblical passages from 1 Timothy, 1 Corinthians, and Ephesians to highlight the need for spiritual strength, clear targets, and readiness to fight for souls.
A major emphasis of the conference was the importance of vision. The attendees were taught that the most crucial ingredient in church growth is a burning desire within the pastor, a desire that must be transferred to the congregation. Pastors and Leaders were encouraged to monitor who is coming to church, who is missing, and to cultivate daily habits that reinforce vision, such as studying church‑growth materials and maintaining patience as results unfold.

Additionally, attendees were warned that distancing themselves from spiritual authority can lead to stagnation, while staying connected brings stability and progress. It is important to build strong cultures of faithfulness within their teams, teach loyalty intentionally, and guard against familiarity in public ministry.
The conference concluded with a focus on enlargement and the role of sacrifice. Drawing from biblical examples such as Abel, Noah, and Abraham, Bishop Richard highlighted how God honours those who offer their lives, resources, and abilities wholeheartedly. The message reinforced that while human effort is essential, true increase ultimately comes from God.
