The Living Bread Cathedral of the Machaneh Church International was a vibrant hub of pastors and church workers as it hosted the highly anticipated Art of Shepherding Conference 2024.

The Conference which drew pastors and church workers from far and wide with some pastors coming from as far as Assin in the Central Region had the theme “The Chief Shepherd” and was premised on the the book ‘The Art of Shepherding by Bishop Dag Heward-Mills.

Throughout the Conference, Bishop Edwin and Bishop Nii Adjeidu delivered stirring messages that illuminated the role of shepherds within the church and emphasized the need for every shepherd to aim to become a ‘Chief Shepherd’ by having other shepherds under him. Drawing inspiration from biblical teachings and personal experiences, they shared practical strategies for nurturing and guiding shepherds with love, compassion, and wisdom.
The theme of “The Chief Shepherd” resonated deeply with attendees, who were awed by the depth of teaching they had experienced over the three days that the Conference lasted.

Reflecting on the impact the Conference had had on him, Rev. Prince Matthew Bissah remarked that the ‘Art of Shepherding’ Conference had been a transformative experience for him and it had caused him to make immediate changes to the shepherdorial system in his church. He added that he had been reminded of the sacred responsibility entrusted to him as a shepherd of God’s flock, and would leave the Conference equipped with a renewed vision and passion for building the church of God.”

The final day saw an exciting ‘live’ edition of the popular Art of Shepherding Chatroom online show with a purely question and answer format. Conference participants got to partake live in the show and had the opportunity to ask questions about shepherding and ministry and have their questions answered by the two speakers of the Conference.
