‘THE GREAT MOVE’ SERVICE WITH BISHOP DAG HEWARD-MILLS – NOT JUST ANOTHER SUNDAY SERVICE STORY

It was indeed an “eye hath not seen, nor ear heard” moment. (1 Corinthians 2:9).

This Resurrection Sunday, the Kotobabi Church made ‘The Great Move’ into the Kotobabi Cathedral, marking the beginning of newness in Christ Jesus. The Lord finally fulfilled the long-awaited prophecies of moving into the new church building on March 31, 2024.

The day began with a church workers’ prayer meeting at dawn, after which came the grand task of filling the temple with one thousand mega Children of God. Joy swept through the church as the people trooped in like flocks of sheep. The atmosphere lit up with the start of the prayer session, worship and praises, and powerful ministrations from the 100-member mass choir and dancing stars.

Our beloved Resident Pastor, Sister Rebecca-Joana Addae, Sister Becky, as she is affectionately called, began preaching on the Resurrection of Christ from Matthew 28 and 1 Corinthians 15:5. Screams of laughter and joy echoed right from the entrances of the church as Bishop Steve suddenly walked in with a gleaming smile on his face. The pleasantness of his visit spread warmth throughout the church.

In his speech, he cheered the Church for “The Great Move,” giving thanks to God for this memorable day.

They say good things come in threes: the gloriousness of a new church building and the visit of Bishop Steve were the first two…. Having arrived with no warning, no alert, and certainly before one could scream, “Christ is risen!”, there, at the entrance, stood the Prophet Dag Heward-Mills!

Like them that dreamed, the church began to scream and shout in an almost hysterical display of jubilation. The presence of the Prophet enraptured the people, and the moment was cinematic in its unexpectedness. What a shock!

“On this momentous day of the Great Move,” said the Prophet as he began to preach about the grace to serve God in an acceptable manner, using Hebrews 12:28.

“Wherefore we receive a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.”

“Anybody who plucks himself from the grace of God cannot do well. Let us receive grace. Let us be humble enough to receive the help of God so that we may serve the Lord acceptably. It was grace that brought us safely to this point, and grace will take us to the end. I want to prophesy that grace will take you to your destination. To an expected end and to a place of great blessing.

Grace and Thanksgiving are linked forever. A person who has grace in his life is always thankful. When the thankfulness is gone, the grace is gone. So I want you to be thankful for everything that God does for you. Through His grace, we are going to go places.”

Bishop Dag Heward-Mills

In his message, he commended Bishop Prince and Sister Becky for their faithfulness to the call of God. The Prophet’s presence covered the congregation with a warmth and gladness that they, no doubt, would continue to feel for several weeks. Delight was so limitless in the cathedral that the one thing everyone was sure of was that the grace of God had brought them thus far. And that same grace of the Lord Jesus would always carry them through.

The Lord has truly been gracious. All glory to Him for the many souls that accepted salvation. What a father, what a family! Long live Bishop Dag Heward-Mills! Long live the United Denominations!
