“Declare his glory among the NATIONS, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.” Psalm 96:3

Following a South African Theme, this year’s International Sunday Service at the Qodesh was all colorful and beautiful as members were clad in traditional outfits with its characteristic vibrant South African National Colors. On display at the Jesus Cathedral were the South African National Flag. Some members of the congregation also came along with their Vuvuzela’s to blow and praise the Lord.

The Service was fully packed with exciting activities which glued members to watch, listen and enjoy:

The Qodesh mass choir wowed the congregants with their beautiful South African songs, “Amen and Amen” by Joe Mettle and Ntigizo Mmambo and “Iyo Calvary”. Many Pastors and members joined the choir to sing and dance to the Lord on stage. It was very exciting and beautiful to watch.

One of the main highlights of the service was a performance by South African students from the prestigious Anagkazo Bible School. They ministered beautiful traditional South African songs and finished off with an exciting dance performance to the popular “Jerusalema” hit which had many members of the congregation dancing and cheering. It was beautiful.

Congregants were also treated to a documentary of the Healing Jesus Campaigns in 2014/2015 (led by Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills) which span the length and breadth of the country, showing the many sides and intriguing sites and sounds of the beautiful Country of South Africa.

Bishop Nii Adjeidu Armar preached a powerful message titled, “What Faith Loves”. In his message he exhorted members about the importance of using faith in their day to day lives. One of the salient points he raised was the fact that “faith loves creativity”. He stated that it was faith and creativity that had brought the church this far and likewise members should apply the concept to see progress and success in their lives.

Various South African owned companies were present at the Service: MTN, Voltic Water, Stanbic Bank.

This year’s International Sunday was truly one to remember.
