The highly anticipated return of the Art of Ministry Conference (AOM) 2022, hosted by Bishop Steve Asare, Convener of the Lighthouse Chapel International Denomination under the UD-OLGC (United Denominations Originating from the Lighthouse Group of Churches).

The three-day Conference, tailor made for Pastors, Church workers and serious Christians for the work of ministry, was held for the first time at the plush Mega Church Auditorium of The Way Cathedral at the headquarters of the Lighthouse Chapel International.

AOM 2022 saw a wide range of participants, from a host of Founders and Pastors from Non-UD churches to a number of Pastors and church workers from the various Councils in the Lighthouse Denomination and the UD as a whole.

In his opening message, Bishop Steve welcomed participants to the Conference. He revealed that in his formative years as a Christian, he just wanted to just be a good Christian in church until he encountered the Prophet, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills. After 30 years of companying with the Anointed, he has been transformed by the Grace of God, into a Bishop who is planting many churches, building churches and doing more for God.

He prophesied that participants were receiving the same anointing and grace before the end of the Conference.

Bishop Steve, teaching from the Book, Church Growth, stated that Ministries should not be comfortable with small numbers. God’s expectation is for churches to grow, expand and become large. Referencing from Acts 1:14-15, Acts 2:41, Acts 4:4 and Acts 5:14, he systematically buttressed the fact that God is interested in numbers, looking for growth and increase.

He further stated from Proverbs 29:18 that, for many ministries and churches to experience growth exponentially, there must be a burning vision. It is this burning vision that becomes the invisible engine of all church growth.

The highlight of Day 2 was the ministration of the guest speaker, the very anointed Bishop Eddy Addy. Bishop Eddy started by emphasizing that AOM is a very relevant Conference in our times because Pastors really need to be empowered and energized due to the difficulties in ministry work especially in present times.

Preaching from the book, Catch The Anointing by Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, Bishop Eddy sermonized that catching the anointing for ministry is what is needed to upgrade the ‘operating system’ of many struggling ministries. He said that one of the major ways of associating with Anointed men is through reading their words in a book and listening to their tapes.

Bishop Eddy Addy took time to introduce the many books in the Loyalty and Disloyalty series.  He elucidated that any church that wants to grow and expand needs to increase its stability by having loyal and committed people.

The last day of the Conference saw Bishop Steve teach extensively on the need for Cell work. He started his teaching from Exodus 18, explaining why trying to do everything alone in the ministry is not the biblical way. He shared on how his experiences visiting churches in South Korea and South Africa, which had successfully implemented the cell system, helped to shape the work of cell system in his Church.

The Conference also had a couple of the distinguished members of the AOM board, including Rev. Ebenezer Owusu Ansah, Apostle Richard Torkunoo and Apostle Augustine Buameh sharing powerfully at various points in the Conference.

What a blessed three-day power-packed time of refreshing this year’s Art of Ministry Conference was. Many of the participants testified at the end of receiving revelations, guidance and direction for the next stage of ministry to the Glory of God!
