For the past few weeks, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills has led special services on Saturday evenings at the Qodesh City Church in Accra, Ghana. During these ‘21 Days of Glory’ services, he has been preaching powerfully on the importance of the call of God.

Members of the church, pastors and Bishops gathered on three different evenings to be blessed by a fascinating series on the call of God. Referencing Matthew 22:14 – “For many are called, but few are chosen”, Bishop Dag introduced the topic by explaining that one of the greatest tragedies in the Christian life is to live without ever realising that you are called.
He urged the church to reflect on their purpose, consider why they are alive, and respond to the call of God. He emphasised that after salvation, the call of God is the most important aspect of a believer’s life. Through Bible and his personal stories, Bishop Dag exposed the dangers of spiritual satisfaction and self-righteousness, while calling the church to turn back to God. Each service served as both a wake-up call and a guide to take your walk with God and your calling seriously.
One message stands out clearly: every believer has a calling, and now is the time to respond. Bishop Dag challenged everyone to discover their purpose, obey God, and become more committed to serving Him. The call of God is not reserved for a few people, it’s for everyone who is willing to surrender and serve. The question remains: will you answer the call?
