“Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord”. (Proverbs 18:22 KJV)
On Thursday, 20th April 2023, Dr. Michael Oteng and Rachael Ampofo were engaged in a beautiful, all white traditional wedding ceremony held in the home of Archbishop Kwasi Ampofo of the United Denominations Originating from the Lighthouse Group of Churches and his wife Lady Reverend Dr. Mrs. Evelyn Ampofo, the proud parents of the bride.
The two tied the knot on a blissful Saturday, 22nd April 2023, in a beautiful, colourful wedding ceremony, at the magnificent state of the art Cathedral of The Makarios Church in East Legon Hills. Family members, friends and members of the United Denominations and United Organization gathered to celebrate the holy union officiated by Bishop Eddy Addy, who happens to have dedicated the bride, Rachael as a baby. What a blessing!
The couple kneeling down before stretched hands of their families and friends, were showered with mighty songs of worship and prayers from Bishop Eddy Addy with Archbishop Patrick Bruce, Bishop Edwin Ogoe, Bishop Nii Adjeidu Armar, Bishop Steve Asare, Bishop David Asomani, Bishop Jesse Sackey, Prophet Louis Macaiah, Bishop Charles Amoo and of course Archbishop Kwasi Ampofo, Father of the Bride.
The wedding was graced by the presence of the First Lady of the United Denominations Originating from the Lighthouse Group of Churches, Episcopal Sister Adelaide Heward-Mills. The Bishops of the First Love Church, the denomination to which the couple belongs, Bishops of the United Denominations, Bishops of the Affiliated Denominations, renowned Men of God of the city and beyond, and many distinguished guests of the society were in attendance.
Indeed the Lord has favoured them and we pray that He keeps laughter, joy, longevity and prosperity forever in their home, as they keep Him, Christ, at the centre of their union.
To God be the Glory, Great things He has done!
