On Saturday, May 17, all churches in the UD held water baptism as part of the ongoing Remembrance Season. This sacred time is dedicated to reflecting on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and reigniting the Church’s mission of fulfilling the great commission in Matthew 28:19 – “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptising them.“

The day began with water baptism, which was conducted across various UD branches. Thousands of church members gathered to participate in this significant ordinance of faith. A total of 6,870 members were baptised, a remarkable and joyous moment as each one publicly declared their faith in Jesus Christ.

Following the baptisms, members were immediately mobilised for soul-winning outreaches. Evangelism teams went into streets, homes, and communities, sharing the message of salvation through Jesus Christ with passion and purpose.
The day served as a powerful expression of the Church’s core mission: to win souls and make disciples.
