Over ten years ago, 137,755 people gathered in Freetown to hear the Gospel preached by Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills. That was 2012. This year, 551,828 people filled the crusade grounds over four extraordinary days — a staggering leap that reflects not just numerical growth, but a deep spiritual hunger in the heart of Sierra Leone’s capital.

Dag Heward-Mills, a prominent evangelist has conducted similar campaigns across Africa and beyond. His return to Freetown, thirteen years after his previous visit, was welcomed by many local churches and faith-based organizations

People who had never heard the name of Jesus before came face-to-face with a message that was clear and uncompromising: Jesus is the Saviour of the world. He alone can heal. He alone can save. Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills emphasized the core message of the Christian faith: that Jesus came not to build roads or schools, but to save mankind from sin and heal every disease. Night after night, that message was confirmed by miracle after miracle.

This year’s crusade has been described by many as a landmark moment for the city and the nation. Freetown will not be the same — and neither will the people who were there. For more information about the Healing Jesus Campaign and upcoming events, visit Healing Jesus Campaign.
