The Maintenance of the Aim Conference at The Truth Cathedral in Dawhenya, was climaxed with another special event: The launch of Bishop Ishmael Sam’s maiden book, “RETENTION AND CHURCH GROWTH”, dedicated to and fore-worded by the Prophet, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills.
In his Foreword to the book, which was read out loud during the ceremony, Bishop Dag emphasized the theme of the book which is the importance of retaining members in a church. He revealed that many churches have large front doors but have equally large back doors; it is his wish and hope that the book would end the dilemma of churches having many Visitors who do not stay on as Permanent Church Members. He emphasised that the book, authored by Bishop Ishmael Sam, was not borne out of empty theory but is the handiwork of an experienced Pastor who has spent many years in hands-on Follow-up and Discipleship Ministry. He highly recommended the book to all Pastors, assuring that through this volume, they would rise out of ministry struggles and enter into the glorious dimension of ministry.
Bishop Dag spent some time to talk about the Book and its importance to Ministry and then declared the book, “RETENTION AND CHURCH GROWTH” by Bishop Ishmael Sam, officially launched. The Prophet encouraged all gathered to get copies of the book.
Bishop Emmanuel Nterful, Convener of the Executive Council of the UD-OLGC, gave the closing remarks. He congratulated Bishop Sam and Loyalty House International for the great work done, after which he said the closing prayer to officially mark the end of the Conference.
