A second Archbishop was installed in the UD-OLGC, in the person of Archbishop Patrick Bruce on 29th December 2021. He was installed into this high office by the Founder Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, assisted by Archbishop Kwasi Ampofo.
He comes to join Archbishop Ampofo to do the expanding work of the Archbishop’s Office.
Since the inception of the Archbishop’s role in the UD, in October 2019, the office has grown in its functioning and impact on the Organization. This steady increase in activities and responsibilities have made it necessary to introduce a second Archbishop to help execute and accomplish the work of the office.
Archbishop Bruce, a Pharmacist by profession with a Masters in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Oslo, Norway, was Appointed a Pastor in 1995. He was Ordained a Reverend in the year 2000 and Consecrated as a Bishop in 2012.
He was the first missionary sent to Tamale to begin the Lighthouse Chapel International Ministry work in the Northern part of Ghana. Archbishop Bruce brings to the office a wealth of experience both in the pastoral and administrative areas of ministry.
He is married to Episcopal Sister Joy-Philippe and and they have 3 married sons, all pastors, and 2 grandchildren.
