The 24th and 26th of February 2022, being the engagement and wedding days respectively of Pastor (Dr.) Michael Asare and Lady Pastor Natalie Commey have gone down the annals of history as memorable events in the life of the United Denomination Originating from the Lighthouse Group of Churches (UD-OLGC) and United Organization (UO).
The engagement was graced by the presence of Episcopal Sister Adelaide Heward-Mills, Archbishop Kwasi Ampofo, Archbishop Patrick Bruce, among other Bishops and Ministers.
The families of Bishop Steve Asare and Bishop Oblitey Commey lined up beautifully, facing each other as the traditional event glided smoothly amidst laughter and music.
The wedding was not without pomp and pageantry. It appeared to be a homecoming event, gathering audiences from around the globe.
Proudly officiated by the Prophet, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, the all-white event, dotted with magenta and black bishoprick jackets, against the green mountainous scenery on the Anagkazo Campus was a sight to behold.
At the climax of the nuptial ceremony, the fathers of the new couple, were called upon by the Prophet to pray for their children. Their heartfelt spiritual prayers for their children epitomised their affection for them and deeply moved the congregation.
After the lovely cake-cutting session with Episcopal Sister Adelaide Heward-Mills, a presentation was made to the couple by the members of LCI-Kenya. Amidst traditional dancing and singing, they adorned the couple with Maasai clothing and accessories.
To God be the glory for bringing us this far. This is nothing but the doing of the Lord and it is marvelous in our sight.
