Burundi welcomes an exciting new building project as works begin for the Bujumbura cathedral.
Last week, the arrival of steel structures marked the beginning of construction on the Bujumbura Cathedral in Burundi, a country in East Africa. This cathedral will stand as a place of worship, uniting all 374,809 residents of Bujumbura city. It will also serve as an emblem of hope, reminding many of God’s everlasting love for His people.

With a staggering number of 557 registered churches already in Burundi, this cathedral serves both as a reminder and a push for us to do just a little bit more for God until every part of the globe has heard the name of Jesus! What a blessing to partner with God in the building of His house, as He says,
“…I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18
Being a landlocked country, Burundi has faced logistical challenges, with many working tirelessly to transport these steel structures by land using cranes and trucks. Yet, nothing is too hard for God!

East Africa is blessed, as last year saw yet another dedication of The Lord of Glory Cathedral in Ruiru, East Kenya in October.
