ALL THE WAY TO THE UK, AND TO COMMONWEALTH COUNTRIES,THE QODESH FAMILY CHURCH, GHANA, TRAVELS TO CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL SUNDAY AND A LOVE FEAST
Once upon a time,
A doctor’s vision birthed diverse Missions,
Across oceans and seas,
Beyond borders of reach,
Possessing territories,
As he sent forth Missionaries,
Some Pastors, Prophets, Teachers, Evangelist and Apostles,
Unto destinations the map failed to discover,
And yet in one accord,
We uplift Jesus,
To celebrate our diversities and uniqueness,
“For though we are many, we are one body in Christ”, Romans 12:5
International Sunday & Love Feast at the Qodesh which fell on 30th October, 2022, was dubbed “The UK Invites The Commonwealth”, to celebrate the United Kingdom and highlight the spiritual impact the United Denominations has had in all 4 countries that make up the United Kingdom: Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales. We celebrate the United Kingdom also because they are among other European countries who sent missionaries to the Gold Coast to propagate the Gospel. The Anglican, and Methodist churches in Ghana both have their roots in the UK, as well as the Church of Pentecost founded by James McKeown an Irish man.
In 1993, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, with the help of Bishop Richard Aryee (Brother Mighty) planted a church in London. Other Pastors were later sent to establish churches in the United Kingdom, out of which has birthed 146 branches with 179 pastors, 33 minister shepherds and 937 shepherds. Camps held by Bishop Dag Heward-Mills at the early stages of the church in the UK have produced several missionaries who have been sent the world over, travelling, laboring and planting churches. From the UK missionaries have been sent to many countries in South America, the Caribbean, Africa and many countries in Europe. We celebrate the missionaries Prophet sent from the UK to other countries – Australia, Grenada, New Zealand, Vanuatu, Danwatu, Papua New Guinea, Kenya, Switzerland, Uganda, Botswana, Chad, Zambia, Rwanda, Germany, Jamaica, Samoa.
The church in the UK has also chalked successes in hosting three (3) Give Thyself Wholly Conferences which tremendously blessed many lives.
The UD in the UK has now evolved into 3 denominations namely: The Mustard Seed Chapel International, Pleasant Surprises and The First Love Church.
God bless Bishop Dag Heward-Mills for having a heart for the UK! God bless the UK for sending missionaries to Ghana!
It was an awesome time in the Lord’s presence as saints flooded the room with praise and worship, and the choir chorused beautifully and adorned in flamboyant attires from the UK, and various countries of the Commonwealth. Lady Pastors were graciously clad in colorful, exquisite bonnets and matching suits, while the black Panama and Fedora hats most male pastors had on, could not go unnoticed.
So were the UK flags, that stood tall, spread across the various entrances of the church. Indeed, the church was filled to capacity. For a moment, the church felt like a mile away from England.
Bishop Pius Akator whose appearance spoke of a typical British man (Charlie Chaplin); a waistcoat, tailcoat, and a bowler hat, ushered the church into a prayer session.
Bishop Nii Adjeidu Armar, Convener of the Qodesh Family Church (QFC) Denomination gave a powerful Word of exhortation from the Prophet’s book Faith Secrets – Faith converts you into a Hard Worker.
Her Excellency Harriet Thompson, the British Ambassador to Ghana was in attendance as well.

What a privilege and a beautiful opportunity we had to take the Healing Jesus Campaign to Central African Republic.
It is a real joy to preach the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ! In Bangui we saw wondrous miracles of healing, deliverance, and the salvation of numerous souls. We know for a fact that the whole world is in need of the Holy Spirit and the Blood of Jesus. “Others” need the Holy Spirit! “Others” need the Blood of Jesus!
Thank you to all the partners of the Healing Jesus Campaign who make it possible for us to preach the Gospel! Stay tuned for our next campaign.

Court Orders Manasseh, 3 others to Apologize to Lighthouse Chapel International and Dag Heward-Mills
An Accra High Court has ordered Investigative Journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni and three others to pay a fine of GHC 2,400 each after finding them guilty of contempt of court.
Manasseh and the three in default will serve one month imprisonment each, for publication of issues yet to be determined by the Court.
The court presided over by Mrs. Justice Harriet Akweley Quaye ordered the respondents in the case titled (The Republic versus Manasseh Azure and three others, Ex-Parte Lighthouse Chapel International) to render an unqualified apology to the Lighthouse Chapel International and its leader, Dag Heward-Mills.
The court ordered them (respondents) to render the apology in the “same spaces” they wrote the articles.
Lighthouse Chapel International (LCI), in January 2022, filed a contempt application against Manasseh and three others.
The contempt application averred that Manasseh, Edwin Appiah an Editor, Sulemana Briamah of the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) and the MFWA as an entity (respondents), had published “highly prejudicial” articles against the Church.
It said they also made “commentaries” as well as “conclusive statements” of fact on unresolved issues, which were yet to be determined by the High Court.
The application, therefore, urged the court to commit the respondents to prison for contempt of court for the publications.
The contempt application stemmed from three separate suits initiated by six former pastors of the Church, who, among other things, alleged the non-payment of their Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) contribution by the Church.
They are Larry Odonkor, Emmanuel Oko-Mensah, Edward Laryea, Seth Duncan, Edem Kofi Amankwah and Faith Fiakojo.
The Church, in its affidavit stated that, in the three defamation suits, it forewarned the respondents that the first three publications were not only defamatory but “potentially in contempt of Court”.
Despite the caution to the respondents and after being served with copies of defamation suits, “the respondents threw all cautions to the wind”, and went ahead to make “first, second and third publications on their Facebook walls on December 25, 2021,” it said.
The applicant stated that by the defiant republication of the articles, the respondents “demonstrated to the High Court that there can be no limit to the way they practiced their brand of journalism”.
That, the Church noted “regenerated a fresh heated public debate and discussions on six suits pending before the Honourable court.”
The Church indicated that the three articles, which had been the subject matter of the contempt application titled, “Darkness in a Lighthouse” were published on April 23, 27 and 29, last year.
Another article titled, “Lighthouse begs for more time to file defence,” was published on May 25, 2021.
Two of the articles, which were published on August 25 and 26, 2021, were titled: “Lighthouse Pastors were not employees-SSNIT rules”, and “Evidence: How Lighthouse incriminated itself, but SSNIT looked away”, respectively.
The Church noted that the article titled: “Darkness in the Lighthouse”, was published 37 times between April 23 and May 1, 2021, on the respondents Facebook walls and twitter accounts and same generated 1,000’s of comments and shares on Facebook and other social media handles.
The applicant held that the conduct of the respondents amounted to “serial contempt in the highest”, considering, especially the repeated and defiant republications.
It said the respondents were liable to be convicted for contempt of court without the option of a fine- a custodial sentence= because they were, “unrepentant and without any remorse whatsoever. They will continue to bring the administration of justice into disrepute by conducting media trial”.

The awesomeness of Bishop Ishmael Sam’s visit and the impact made on the King of Kings Cathedral during our More Than you Can Carry Convention will never be forgotten. On day one, Bishop Kenneth started off by sharing on the topic “Faith Loves Preparation” from the book Faith Secrets written by Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, to herald the coming of Bishop Sam.
The Cathedral was lit up with excitement on the 2nd and 3rd days, as we encountered the ministration of a true son of our Prophet, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills. Bishop Sam poured out his heart as he taught us and prayed for us.
We took a ‘selfie’ break to serve as a memorial of how God had transformed us. He drew our attention to the fact that when we focus on the Kingdom we would be blessed more than we could carry.
Anybody who had had more than he could carry was in your situation of lack at one time… God has given us the power to break through and have more than you can carry”
Bishop Sam
Bishop Sam urged us to use the weapons of prayer and worship to contend so we could enter the realms of “More Than we Can Carry.”
Our Bishops children continue to hook up with each other for life. Preceded by the traditional marriage ceremony, David Kaku Yalleh Jnr. and Keziah Sawyerr on June 4 this year tied the knot at the Anagkazo Bible Seminary in Mampong, the Eastern Region of Ghana. The solemn marriage ceremony between the two, who have been childhood friends and attended same Medical school at Korle Bu, was blessed by Archbishop Kwasi Ampofo.
The occasion was graced by some dignitaries including the first lady of the United Denomination of Lighthouse Group of Churches (UD-OLGC), Episcopal Sister Adelaide Heward-Mills, Prophet Kakra Baiden, Bishop Edwin Morgan Ogoe, Bishop Steve Asare among several Bishops of the UD.
The parents of the bride and groom, Bishop Dr. David Yalleh, Lady Rev. Mrs. Joyce Yalleh, Bishop Sawyerr and Lady Rev. Mrs. Sawyerr were present to support their children.
David and Keziah exchanged their vows promising to stay faithful to each other for the rest of their lives.
Several friends, well wishers and loved ones were also present at the beautiful ceremony to cheer them on into a blissful happy marriage. Amidst godly music, sharing of goodies, picture taking and socializing, the ceremony ended beautifully.
The month of September was the time for the celebration of diversity across the Ashanti Region where The Mega Church Denomination is domiciled.
An amazing mix of people from different nations and also different tribes within Ghana provided the background for a very colorful Sunday. Indeed the scripture is true which says: Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments. Psalm 133:1-2 KJV.
We thank God for the life of our Prophet and for the precious ointment that has sent the United Denominations, of which we are a part, into so many different countries. May we continue to be united as the church advances further!
