Once upon a time,
A doctor’s vision birthed diverse Missions,
Across oceans and seas,
Beyond borders of reach,
Possessing territories,
As he sent forth Missionaries,
Some Pastors, Prophets, Teachers, Evangelist and Apostles,
Unto destinations the map failed to discover,
And yet in one accord,
We uplift Jesus,
To celebrate our diversities and uniqueness,

“For though we are many, we are one body in Christ”, Romans 12:5

International Sunday & Love Feast at the Qodesh which fell on 30th October, 2022, was dubbed “The UK Invites The Commonwealth”, to celebrate the United Kingdom and highlight the spiritual impact the United Denominations has had in all 4 countries that make up the United Kingdom: Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales. We celebrate the United Kingdom also because they are among other European countries who sent missionaries to the Gold Coast to propagate the Gospel. The Anglican, and Methodist churches in Ghana both have their roots in the UK, as well as the Church of Pentecost founded by James McKeown an Irish man.

In 1993, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, with the help of Bishop Richard Aryee (Brother Mighty) planted a church in London. Other Pastors were later sent to establish churches in the United Kingdom, out of which has birthed 146 branches with 179 pastors, 33 minister shepherds and 937 shepherds. Camps held by Bishop Dag Heward-Mills at the early stages of the church in the UK have produced several missionaries who have been sent the world over, travelling, laboring and planting churches. From the UK missionaries have been sent to many countries in South America, the Caribbean, Africa and many countries in Europe. We celebrate the missionaries Prophet sent from the UK to other countries – Australia, Grenada, New Zealand, Vanuatu, Danwatu, Papua New Guinea, Kenya, Switzerland, Uganda, Botswana, Chad, Zambia, Rwanda, Germany, Jamaica, Samoa.

The church in the UK has also chalked successes in hosting three (3) Give Thyself Wholly Conferences which tremendously blessed many lives.

The UD in the UK has now evolved into 3 denominations namely: The Mustard Seed Chapel International, Pleasant Surprises and The First Love Church.

God bless Bishop Dag Heward-Mills for having a heart for the UK! God bless the UK for sending missionaries to Ghana!

It was an awesome time in the Lord’s presence as saints flooded the room with praise and worship, and the choir chorused beautifully and adorned in flamboyant attires from the UK, and various countries of the Commonwealth. Lady Pastors were graciously clad in colorful, exquisite bonnets and matching suits, while the black Panama and Fedora hats most male pastors had on, could not go unnoticed.

So were the UK flags, that stood tall, spread across the various entrances of the church. Indeed, the church was filled to capacity. For a moment, the church felt like a mile away from England.

Bishop Pius Akator whose appearance spoke of a typical British man (Charlie Chaplin); a waistcoat, tailcoat, and a bowler hat, ushered the church into a prayer session.

Bishop Nii Adjeidu Armar, Convener of the Qodesh Family Church (QFC) Denomination gave a powerful Word of exhortation from the Prophet’s book Faith Secrets – Faith converts you into a Hard Worker.

Her Excellency Harriet Thompson, the British Ambassador to Ghana was in attendance as well.
