All dressed in white shirts, black suits and black neckties…, the Pastors of the Greater Love Church – a vibrant Denomination under the United Denominations Originating from the Lighthouse Group of Churches (UD-OLGC) trooped to the Boardroom of the Greater Love Cathedral. The event – the launch of the UD LAY WORLD MOVEMENT.

An august ceremony it was, graced by the Denominational Convener, Bishop Ernest Aryee and other Bishops clad in their bishopric regalia. Lay President Reverend Dr. Henry Obaka was present as well to chair and moderate the meeting.

The meeting started with a prayer, after which the President spent some time explaining the heart, purpose and mission of the Lay World Movement. He stressed that the heart of our Father and Founder, Presiding Bishop Dag Heward-Mills was for the Lay people to do well both in their secular fields of work and in ministry. This is reflected in the slogan for the UD Lay World Movement (UD-LWM), ‘Enhancement of the Lay Ministry’.

The President also went through the various boards under the UD-LWM, their respective heads, the work of each board and membership requirements.

The ceremony ended gracefully with a beautiful exhortation from the Convener (interspersed with his own amazing personal testimonies), a prayer and refreshment.

The UD Lay World Movement (UD-LWM) was officially launched on Sunday, December 5th 2021 at the Greater Love Cathedral, New Bortianor.
