THE WAY CATHEDRAL – LIGHTHOUSE CHAPEL INTERNATIONAL (LCI) DENOMINATION
International Sunday is a major milestone on the calendar of the United Denominations Originating from the Lighthouse Group of Churches (UD-OLGC).
The Mega Church Hall of The Way Cathedral was full to capacity as church members from different regions and areas dressed to represent and bring greetings from different cultures, nations and countries.
Dressed in a resplendent Thai attire, Bishop Steve Asare, the Convener of LCI-GH delivered a seasonable sermon on why Believers Must Rise Up and Fulfill the Great Commission. He stressed that the Church is able to celebrate its International nature because others have gone to various countries, worked and started churches. He shared many practical examples of people who travelled out to other lands and fulfilled the mantra, “Go somewhere! Preach somewhere!”
He explained that the Church is truly International and not just cliché, because whenever one travels out of Ghana to any part of the world, one is more than likely to find a UD Church or can easily be referred to a Pastor in that country. Obeying the Great Commission by going out to preach the Gospel and win souls has always been the heart of the Prophet, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, the Founder of the church, who after so many years has not relented in pressing on to win more souls, going into more countries and establishing more churches.
Thank you Prophet Dag Heward-Mills for the Burden of Love to see souls won, to send missionaries out and to build more churches across the nations of the world. 190 Nations, here we come!
KING OF KINGS CATHEDRAL, ACHIMOTA – LCI
The King of Kings Cathedral celebrated International Sunday with music, dance and drama. The service was characterized by greetings and presentations of fifteen different cultures of the world. One of the highlights was the appearance of the famous Bangladesh Electric tricycle in the church auditorium, which triggered a spontaneous resounding applause.
The pictures captured during the service, palpably showcase how exciting our International Sunday Service was.
KOTOBABI CHURCH – LCI
The Kotobabi Church was filled with a rich atmosphere of joy and excitement at this year’s International Sunday Celebration, which covered each continent of the world. Church Members dressed according to the dynamic cultures found in the continent their branches/centres were representing.
It was humbling and exciting to learn from each group the impact the United Denominations has had on the continents of the world. Each group made a vibrant cultural and linguistic presentation. Shouts of praise to God could be heard as the numbers of Pastors, Churches, Buildings and Denominations in each continent or region were announced.
This year’s celebration would leave a lasting impression on everyone. The efforts of Pastors and Missionaries worldwide, as well as the scale of the work of church planting and soul winning, which remains to be done was clear for all to see.
