On Sunday, 1st June, churches in the UD had an Inflammation Sunday, also known as The Great Invitation Sunday. Members invited and gathered several people to hear about the encounter of Zachaeus with Jesus in the Gospel of Luke, chapter 19. Zachaeus’ life was transformed as he met Jesus. A true encounter with Jesus will always lead to a great testimony.
Several people gave their lives to Christ in all the denominations, during this Special Service organised in UD to reach the lost in our cities and towns with the unconditional love of God as stated in the Gospel according to John (John 3:16-17). It was a powerful reminder of the price Jesus paid on The Cross and the ongoing call to save the nations before His second coming.
After the service, the spirit of unity and joy continued as members gathered for indoor and outdoor games, laughter, food and fellowship. From table tennis matches to board games and lighthearted competitions, it was a wonderful time of connection and celebration. Several members stayed on till late in the evening in all churches, enjoying the lingering presence of the Spirit of God.
We give thanks for a memorable day, both spiritually uplifting and joyfully engaging the church members. May the seeds sown continue to bear fruit in the weeks and months ahead!
