The 22nd and 23rd of February this year saw Bishop Dag Heward-Mills on the international stage once again. Bishop Dag was invited to preach at the City Harvest Church in Singapore, an international ministry led by Pastor Kong Hee. This was his second invitation with his first visit being last year, 2024.

In a powerful sermon titled “Fulfil Your Ministry”, Bishop Dag taught using the Parable of the Talents from Matthew 25. Bishop taught on the 4 phases of ministry, the dangers of laziness in ministry and how to overcome fear, laziness and accusations in ministry. He showed the connection between fruitfulness and freedom from fault-finding and how fear or accusations should not be allowed to hinder our calling. Bishop Dag explained the link between fruitfulness in ministry and honouring spiritual leaders and pastors, as well as the power of obedience and the high cost of disobedience in ministry.
Bishop Dag also gave reasons why one-talent Christians often find themselves struggling to fulfill their calling and outlined the dangers of hiding your gifts. Finally, Bishop Dag taught on how you can identify and make the best of your God-given talents.
In his second message – “Can’t You Do Just a Little Bit More?” – Bishop Dag called on Christians to do just a little bit more for God – give a little bit more to God, preach a little bit more and send a little bit more missionaries. Bishop Dag explained how doing so can lead to great breakthroughs in your life and ministry using biblical examples of people like Noah, Abraham and John who did a little bit more for God than the usual. He encouraged young people in church to stay faithful and maintain their passion for serving God. Bishop Dag also highlighted how important it is to understand the dangers of betrayal and unfaithfulness and the importance of guarding your heart against becoming a Judas in the house of God. The spirit of Judas must be avoided. Finally, Bishop Dag taught on the power of thankfulness and how being grateful prevents a person from becoming a monster in the faith.
Both sermons ended in an altar call for salvation and for young people who sensed the call of God on their lives to come forward to be prayed for.

Whilst in Singapore Bishop Dag was interviewed on the City Harvest Church’s News Website, CityNews. In the interview Bishop Dag further expanded on his sermons and offered advice and insight to problems that believers may face when following the call of God.
