What mighty rejoicing in heaven as many many souls gave their lives to Christ at the maiden Bacenta Sunday at The Way Cathedral of the Lighthouse Chapel International (LCI) Denomination.  Weeks of heightened evangelistic outreaches and programmes in the various areas culminated in this Evangelistic Service at the Cathedral.

Both Services were marked by a rich blend of colours, making for a polychromatic, prismatic and colourful service as the various Regions adorned their distinctively coloured T-shirts.

The Way Cathedral, headquarters of the LCI denomination, has different clearly defined geographical areas which are referred to as Regions. Each Region consists of a number of Centres which are in turn made up of many Bacentas. Each of the 10 regions, led by their overseers, gave a brief presentation introducing the Region, its geographical area, and the centres in the region.

Bishop Steve Asare, Convener of the Denomination, preached ever powerfully from Mark 8:36-37  on “Why Your Soul is Important”.

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? [37] Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”  He said that the soul is important because the soul is the real man, the soul lives forever and the soul will stand in judgment. He encouraged the Congregants that irrespective of age or status, once you are born again, you can become a Bacenta leader.

He went on to emphasise that, it is important to be interested in leading many souls to Christ by becoming a Bacenta leader to help in the work, so that many people can be taken along to heaven, because the Church is the gate to Heaven.

The service ended with scores of souls responding to the Altar Call and giving their lives to Jesus!

This day would also be remembered in eternity as the day many souls received their liberation and translation from the oppression of the Kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of God.

What a great Blessing! What a service! What a Church!
